Have you ever wanted to go after a goal but you were afraid that there was no way you could make it? Have you ever felt like you were "not enough" to follow your dream?

Sometimes the only way to get past your fear is to walk through it. That's what I learned when I decided to follow a dream. I was 70 pounds overweight, turning 50 and a lifelong couch potato to boot when I decided to do a marathon. That's 26.2 miles! I thought I was too old, too fat, too slow and not enough. There was no way I could do it -- but something inside of me wanted to try. I decided to register and spent six months training for The Big Day.

MILE 9 is a LITTLE book with a BIG message. It's about putting one foot in front of the other and giving it your all, even when you feel like you can't go on. It's about not giving up on your dream. And it's about, ultimately, discovering that you are enough.

You will read MILE 9 again and again. In the end, it's about so much more than a marathon. It's about life and what you make of it. It's about putting your heart and soul on the line and finding that there is a strength within you that you didn't know you had.

Trust your heart and stay on your path. Miracles can happen.
